Day 4 - Seneca Falls to Syracuse

Day 4 getting ready to ride 42 miles our easy day mileage wise but there is some climbing… Traffic, hills, bike lanes, back to the original canal, history of Clinton’s ditch, NY Pizza, nice flat canal tow path, then uphill into Syracuse. Thunderstorm warning! Possible hail! Seek shelter immediately!!

This is a place where the canal used to flow through an aqueduct over a stream. The aqueduct was made of wood supported by rock and carried the water over the stream.

It’s wet out there! At times the rain was falling sideways… our tent was upright when we got back to it but we had puddles of water inside with some wet clothes etc.
