Arches Lite

We did the Disney version of Arches National Park today. This was officially a “rest day”. We rode in the car with the air conditioner cranked up, stoped at pullouts and our hikes to see the arches were less than a mile to see. Temperatures ranged from 94 while up high to 101 degrees while down low. We had our camel backs with water but opted for the more tame version. We did hike one primitive trail but most of the trails were well manicured with steps rather than rocky ascents and descents. We really limited our hikes because of the heat. Because of the heat we didn’t hike up to delicate arch but saw it from a distance.

Pictures day for sure. Our hands were free, no big rocks to ride over or steep descents on cliff edges today, so we snapped lots of pictures of the arches.

We spent 4.5 hours enjoying the varied scenery and geological formations with a few short hikes to see specific arches and the devil’s garden
