In Alhama de Almeria (a photo gallery)

Later in the afternoon I went for a short walk around town, and Rachael went into a longer one up into the hills above it. I’m not going to say much of anything about it, because now it’s the next day, In Abrucena - a very small mountain town with limited WiFi service, so I’m just hoping this will post. All the photos were uploaded back in Alhama, so they’ve just been sitting here waiting for me to publish them.

Also, a word about tomorrow’s post. It will be delayed for at least a day because of the WiFi issue, but be patient. It’s a day worth reading about - we’re both hoping it was the hardest day we’ll endure this year, because we both just about hit the wall on this one. Its a good thing we had favorable winds or we might have just collapsed by the side of the road somewhere.

Scott’s walk

The view east across the Romeral ravine.

I’m not sure what we’re looking at here, but I think it’s the eastern nose of the Sierra Nevada range. It will be clearer tomorrow, since we’re biking its direction.
