Zurich to Victoria
Cabs, Planes and Our Car
We have had a pretty much perfect travel day. No issues, our Zurich flight left on time and I am sitting with a huge beer in the Vancouver airport waiting for our final hop to the island.
We had ordered a large van to transport the bikes to the airport and a station wagon arrived right on time. We could see there was room for the bikes, and two men, without a word from us, were loading them in the car. Problem was, there was no room for me! I said to Keith I would ride on top of the boxes if I had to. Easier for me than him! However, the second man loading the bikes wasn’t a merely helpful bystander, he was a second car, sent for us, no extra charge. Off we went.
Once at the airport everything went smoothly. The bikes were under the weight limit and the only funny thing was Keith asking everyone he thought might have an answer, why the silly blue strap on the luggage carts? No one knew.

Our flight was smooth, I read an entire novel and slept a bit. We await the final flight home and our car is waiting for us at the airport thanks to good friends who dropped it off there for us today.
I am starting to feel sleepy (that giant beer might be part of the problem) so I will leave it there. We are dreaming of next year, although Keith keeps humming The Rolling Stones ‘This Could be the Last Time’. I think he’s yanking my chain 😂.
