Day 13 - Bordeaux

The title says we biked zero miles today which is true, but we did walk over six miles exploring the old center of Bordeaux. It is an amazing city. Cars have been eliminated from huge swaths of Bordeaux, turning the heart of the city into a maze of streets and squares full of people, bikes, and restaurants with outdoor dining.

It doesn't seem that eliminating cars has been bad for business. Other streets were not this crowded, but this one street was crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon.

Cathedrale Saint-André put all the small town churches we've looked at to shame. Bordeaux must have a thousand boulangeries.

They did replace the cars with a streetcar system.
