[Update November 2022]  This didn't work to that timeframe at all, but remarkably the skeleton structure of this trip ended up being followed.  Everything went according to plan at the beginning until the beginning effects of covid more or less extended the Thailand portion of the trip with a foray into Cambodia.  Interestingly, that's where most of the adventure ended up happening, and the best part of the trip actually.
