I was part of the breakfast and lunch crew and was not able to get an early start. It was quite cool still this morning. My GPS had no power again today. I am rather worried, angry etc.

The first bit was pretty nice - not much traffic, good shoulder.  Then we got near Panama City Beach and got sent all over the place trying to dodge traffic and then ended up on a busy touristy section. Not my favorite thing.  The last 15 miles or so was on a very poor bike trail next to the road. It was bumpy and broken up, but the road was narrow and busy. No one liked that section.

  Rain was projected for early afternoon and I wished I could have started earlier. The rain did start up about 1:30. It was pretty light until we got to Topsail Preserve State Area.  We could not get access to the tent sites as the person who reserved the sites was still cycling. There was a lot of tension and confusion and eventually everything worked out. However, while this was happening the rain got heavier and is still coming down after 8 PM.

I am again sitting outside a building working on this - so no more.
