As predicted, it began raining in early morning. Breakfast was wet, tents were went.  There was a bit of lull when we started, but it started up again. I ended up with John and Pat. The ride was pretty flat and down Hwy 29.  I apparently forgot to turn off my GPS and it was dead today.

We stopped a couple of times to warm up before the midpoint in Mayo. We eventually got to the library and hung around for at least an hour. There was a charging station at the library and I got my GPS running again. We waited long enough that the last half of the ride was without rain though the road was wet. A few dogs came out, some vehicles were coming close but not bad. 

As I was riding in the rain, I was trying to think of how to describe it and came up with joyless.

The organizers tried to find a church or other place in Sopchoppy for the cold night so we wouldn't be tenting. They had no luck and found some hotels. This meant instead of 67 and 77 miles, we would have to do 57 and 87 miles or 87 and 57.

They have a nice heated room for us to hang out at the campground.
