Another cold morning, no surprise. We were glad to be in cabins at a KOA with a community room.
The winds were projected to increase through the day as is the norm. We tried to get an early start through Silver City and onto NM 90. There was a fair bit of ascent early and eventually the ups and downs got us to the Continental Divide. Temps were not expected to get above 65 and probably didn't. It was a pretty nice ride, good roads mostly, considerate drivers mostly.
The terrain changed after the divide, as the flora got shorter and scrubbier.

Sort of short day at 51, we all wanted to beat the strong winds and I was in at 1. It remained windy all afternoon. More bike maintenance for some other riders.
We have use of a room here at this KOA also, which will be especially nice tomorrow AM.
Today's ride: 51 miles (82 km)
Total: 2,446 miles (3,936 km)
