to Kerrville TX March 16

I didn't mention that we crossed a cattle guard yesterday, our first.  We also had a creek crossing that was flooded.

We saw a few of these signs

today we were hoping for some relief from the west winds, but did not get it. It was scheduled to be 76 miles with about 4000 ft of ascent.  There were some nice quiet roads with little traffic. We had a chance to go through Fredericksburg.. There is a museum of the Pacific Theater in WWII due to Nimitz being from there.

There were many more cattle guards and roads practically through someone's property. It was kind of fun except for the wind.

The ride was very hard in general. Two of the participants were going pretty slowly and the co-leaders decided they would have to abandon today's ride and be taken in with the van.  John was very disappointed as he hoped to ride Every Fabulous Inch. Tomorrow, He may get a ride back to where he stopped today and try to pick up.

We were able to cook in the camp kitchen and not with the propane stove. Dinner was late as everyone struggled in later than usual.

Christy HoffI hope you are able to avoid the lousy weather. Wind is bad enough. Thanks for the updates!
