to Gainesville area 17 Feb - Stan's Excellent Cross Country Ride 2025 - CycleBlaze

to Gainesville area 17 Feb

This was our last hotel for quite a while as I understand. I rode with John who goes by Wendell for quite a while today. The entrance to the 2 bike trails were not obvious to me and I didn't try much to find the second.

Anyway, it was a nice ride. A little more climbing, not much wind. Some nice trails once I was on them.  All is well with the bike so far. Yesterday's windy ride was a strain on my knees. They feel a little crunchy.

Some vegetarian cyclists have been hosting groups for many years and we ended up there tonight.  It was a delicious veggy meal! Awesome food!

They are off in the woods and there were a good number of birds around.

This is our first night of camping and it is going to be cool, though even cooler weather is predicted in a few days.

MARGARET SMITHHave a great ride! How do you keep track of so many birds? I’ll be in Navarre/Milton by Thursday afternoon. Will you be through there by then? Margaret
