A Change in the Weather

Amberley to Oxford

Monday started out sunny, but the forecast was for rain from midday. A weather system was coming in from the south and the warm days I had been used to were coming to an end. The photos today show this change, with increasing clouds, but not visible is the sudden drop in temperatures around the middle of the day, dropping from 25C (77F) to 15C (59F) in the space of half an hour.

There were real people around today, a relief from the isolation of the previous day. I even had a chat with another cyclist.

The following pictures show some of the roadside items that were interesting as I worked my way to Oxford.

It was great to get to my unit by early afternoon and warm up. The rain started shortly after and continued throughout the next 36 hours. Good for agriculture, bad for cycling, so I just stayed put.

Today's ride: 63 km (39 miles)
Total: 376 km (233 miles)
