Today was purely pleasant riding. Nice temperatures, no difficult climbs, and little traffic made for a nice day. The last 10 miles were spent fighting a fierce headwind but that’s pretty much forgotten now.

The normal town next to Ciudad Modelo

Nice roads

Looks familiar

few cars today, being Sunday no doubt helped

Plowing with a tractor

Plowing with a horse

Somewhere I slipped into Tlaxcala

But was quickly back in Puebla

Very pleasant riding, with a tailwind at times

Descending towards Perote

It almost says “Welcome to Veracruz”

try squinting

Dusty towns

I liked the structure

A sea of cabbage

Arrived in busy Perote

Took a room in a hotel on the plaza

Everyone was out tonight

Today's ride: 52 miles (84 km)
Total: 2,295 miles (3,693 km)
