We waved goodbye to Lisa, Brad, and Irene. They cycled to Grand Forks today and Midway tomorrow. That is the end of their trip. They started two days ago from Castlegar. They camped by the long tunnel on the C&W the first night. They had the most stuff I have seen for bikepackers. They even carried a tablecloth for the picnic tables.

We had a fantastic meal from a converted school bus nearby. Mine was a hamburger and fries. Louise had 2 jackfruit tacos.

I spent the day charging devices and reading the Guardian that I brought along. Louise slept most of the day and all night. I think we might be the only people in the campground today. There are dozens of trailers but they all seem empty.

Weather forecast is very poor. Rain is predicted every day next week. Tomorrow we will bike into Grand Forks and stock up on tarps, an axe, and a saw. There will be some very wet cold days ahead.

Camera battery charger died. We will have to make do with the sole remaining battery. After it dies, we can use phones but the picture quality will be abysmal.

Things were not looking good for the next week.
