Day 8 is a bit of a rest day, just 27 miles heading North to Ft Mohave. Officially over the Colorado River and into AZ.

Throughout the first week we had many great meals. We kept the tradition going today at the Wagon Wheel.

RT 66 signage is everywhere, as is the history of old western towns.

While a short ride today, once again a nonstop headwind out of the North. Riding big heavy bikes, you learn quickly how much the wind helps or hinders your ride. We also ran into many rough gravel roads.

Total: 367 miles (591 km)

Lee BergerThat pea gravel reminds me of a motorcycle trip in Colorado years ago. That gravel was like riding on ball bearings.
