Once we hit the river, it was a nice ride on the dedicated bike path.

Multiple bridges cross the river, including the Eads bridge, completed in 1874.

Of course the Gateway Arch is the centerpiece of the riverfront. At 630 feet tall it is a stunning presence. The Arch was approved in 1948 but not completed until 1965. There is a very informative museum at the base.

The riverfront park has many bike and pedestrian paths as well as artwork celebrating St Louis’ history. Here we see Lewis and Clark completing their journey in 1806.

Chris is pointing to Busch stadium, where we’ll take in a Cardinals game on Saturday. We strike out for Illinois on Sunday. Our last state and Chicago a mere 340 miles down the road.

Bethany WallAmazing just 340 miles to go! Love that you're at a game right now. At this moment, early in the game, the Cardinals are ahead...
