RT 66 Day 16-Welcome to New Mexico

Day 16 took us primarily on frontage roads adjacent to I-40. Smooth ride and once again the Wind Gods had our backs (figuratively).

After a fine Mexican lunch at Gordo’s in Gallup, NM, we treated ourselves to a room at the historic El Rancho. Many a Hollywood star has visited.

Finally, a shout to an old Turner co-worker, and his wife, who we met up with in Winslow. It was great to see John and Bonnie DeMarco, enjoying life in retirement in the SW.
