Day 6 - Victoria to Saanich: Our Last Day
This was our last day, and the shortest ride - just up the road 20 km to our friends' house to pick up the car and head home. So, of course, we slept in until 7 and enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Left at 9:00 looking forward to some more wonderful Victoria trail riding.

On the way out Victoria, there are several underpasses that have been creatively painted over the years.
We rolled along and stopped to have a chat with a local celebrity

A bit farther along the trail is Mattick's Farm, another must stop for us. It was early, so we opted for lattes instead of our usual ice cream cones. Jim must have felt a little cheated, because he conveniently left his wallet behind so we would have to come back later on our way to the ferry and, of course, have our ice cream - smart man that Jim!
We rode up a little farther than we needed to because we just couldn't miss out on seeing the famous pigs. Along the way, we ran into a group of riders - check out the cutie at the back! This trail is well used by all and no wonder - it's perfect!

After taking as much time as we possibly could, we reached the end of our bike tour. Thanks, Bill and Carolyn for looking after our car for us!
