BAC Best of Bend: Ride Day Two
Early wake-up and The Provision cafe didn't have coffee ready, so I ventured out down the street to M. Cafe. Owner had scones hot out of the oven and shared his tips on scone-making: his mother's fork and bowls, his time spent during the early days of Napa (fellow Peets founder) and chunks of butter in the dough. My latte paired well with the date and cheddar/chive scones. Plus, we added another +one to the Wordle win column.
Today's required ride took us to Sisters, OR (33.48 miles, 1,014 feet climbing) - Stacey added a 7th overall to her Strava Trophy Case. Heading out of Redmond, OR we could see the Three Sisters and Broken Peaks in the distance.
Arrived into Sisters, OR just prior to lunch and enjoyed the ride down Main Street. The early ride finish provided time to keeping up with the La Vuelta 23 latest stage and cheering on American rider, Sepp Kuss - Good to see him still in the Red Jersey.
