BAC Best of Bend: Ride Day Three
Back to hotel coffee (The Grandstay in Sisters, OR) which is somewhere between what we had in Albuquerque, NM hotel coffee and the Keurig at Holiday Inn Express, but it is ready at 6:00am (yeah!). Got another +one on Wordle.
Today was a long ride with lots of climbing (74 miles with 5,932 feet of climbing). Top of the climb was McKenzie Pass with rivers of lava and views of the Sisters Peaks, Three Finger Jack, Belknap Crater and Mt. Hood way in the distance. Rode down to HWY 126 through beautiful, lush pine forests then turned around and did the climb the other way.
Dinner was frozen food from the grocery store within walking distance, a bottle of wine and La Vuelta Stage 18 - Sepp is still in the red jersey - fantastic.
