BAC Best of Bend: Ride Day Seven
Alfalfa Route
Wordle streak is still going strong - same as us on the bike. Today was the out-and-back mostly flat ride out of Bend, OR along Alfalfa Market Rd. (36.74 miles with a mere 935 feet of climbing) and the wildfire smoke arrived. The overall ride was smooth sailing, but in Oregon the road designs include consistently spaced expansion joints running perpendicular to the road. If you know what that means - it does make for an interesting bounce on the rider's saddle. We have lowered our tire pressures a bit - LOL! We passed by many dairy and cattle farms and the flatness was a welcome break.
With this being our last night at McMenamins, we searched all floors of the Art House to find the hidden bar (hint: broom closet) and rooms. BAC left their mark on the 2nd floor hidden room chalk wall.
