BAC Best of Bend: Ride Day Nine
Sunriver, OR - Paulina Lake
Sunriver, OR has started to see the first signs of Fall and much cooler temperatures (41 degrees F at the start). Wordle streak increased by +one despite the weather outside.
Our ride destination was the Newbury Volcano area to see the caldera lakes: Paulina Lake and East Lake (46.23 miles with 2,520 feet of climbing). The climb up kept us warm and we enjoyed smoke-free, crisp air all the way to Paulina Lake. The descend down required extra layers and winter gloves. The temperatures increased by 20 degrees by the end of the ride at the Sunriver elevation.
