Admin Day in Washburn
As usual, Scott was up at daybreak, heating water for coffee and tea. At 07:00 when the IGA opened, he bought granola, berries, yoghurt, and donut holes for breakfast. The second DaLou pizza made a great lunch, fortifying us for the hard tasks of balancing the checkbook, oiling our bikes, and bringing the blog up to date. Almost all the stores were closed, with the exception of a used bookstore where Scott purchased an Agatha Christie. Before our dinner of rehydrated beef stroganoff, we bought avocados, fruit, and peanut butter for the road. To expedite the pedal-away the next morning, the panniers were packed and breakfast fixings laid out. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be in Ironwood, MI Monday.
