Yang Ngam
After a successful weekend of watching rugby we had a late start this morning. For the first twenty four kilometers it was a nice ride down the quiet 2275 but the last twenty three were on the 21. Despite being a major road it wasn't stressful but neither was it exciting. Fortunately there was quite a bit shade from trees growing close to the roadside so we had some respite from the sun.
Yang Ngam is a small town hugging Highway 21 and doesn't hold much of interest. However we have found a very nice hotel in which to reclaim some of the sleep lost due to the rugby. There is a large market a block away so finding food has been pretty easy. We also found a helpful mobile phone shop where we were able to recharge our Thailand sim card for the next thirty days.
We're heading towards Si Thep, a world heritage site with old Khmer era ruins that we only heard of during our stay in Phetchabun but will only get there the day after tomorrow.
Today's ride: 47 km (29 miles)
Total: 2,020 km (1,254 miles)
