Non Song
Another rather uninspiring day. A busy road with not much to enjoy. I tried to break it up with some birding but the traffic made even that unpleasant.
Non Song is a little town on the northern edge of the Ubol Ratana Dam. It's main purpose is to provide hydroelectric power, generating 57 GWh of power a year, but also provides water for irrigation.
Late in the afternoon we rode down to the dam hoping to pick up some birds but the water levels are too high for there to be anything of interest.
We head first westwards and then southwards tomorrow around the northern and western sides of the dam.
