Nam Nao National Park Day 3

We were supposed to hit the road this morning but we were having such an enjoyable time birding this morning that we decided to spend another night here.

Taiga Flycatcher (Ficedula albicilla), my favourite bird so far.

Red Junglefowl (Gallus gallus). It looks familiar because it was the primary species to give rise to today's many breeds of domesticated chicken (G. g. domesticus). The related grey junglefowl (G. sonneratii), Sri Lankan junglefowl (G. lafayettii) and the Javanese green junglefowl (G. varius) have also contributed genetic material to the gene pool of the modern chicken.
