It was a tedious slog into a thirty kilometer per hour headwind to Cha Am.  Thank goodness it was a short dayan that we found back roads to keep us away from highway 4.  

We chose digs on the northern side of town, closer to a better beach than where we stayed nine days ago.  Despite the sea being rough and uninviting we eventually had our dip in the sea this afternoon.  The beach itself was packed with locals but we were some of the few people to brave the water.

We have four spare days as we make our way back to Bangkok so we are in no  rush.  We're not yet sure how we will fill them.  We've covered this area a few times before but I'm sure we'll find something new to see or do.
