Bung Khla
Apart from fifteen kilometers on the 212 in the middle of the ride, most of today was spent on quiet back roads through rubber plantations and rice paddies. The final seven kilometers were along the Mekong. So good to be back at the river.
Eight years ago we spent a night in a little wooden chalet at Monprasit Resort on the edge of Bung Khla. It is right on the Mekong and it was a simple decision to spend tonight there. I spent much of the afternoon on our little chalet's verandah enjoying the peace and taking in the view.
We won't rush out of here tomorrow morning. It's just too relaxing here and we don't plan to cycle much further than forty odd kilometers to our next digs.
