We did not start cycling from Salzburg because of torrential rains. We drove our rental car to Hotel Der Burgblick in Werfen.  The view of the local castle from our hotel room was spectacular. Beautiful views of the mountains and rolling countryside remained with us throughout our day.  Stopping in St. Johann im Pongau at a local grocery store we picked up some lunch.  My brakes checked out by a mechanic in a local bike shop. Arriving in Klamn at the end of the afternoon, we realized we still had a climb ahead of us to get to a hotel. Restaurant food was delicious, and the rooms were comfortable and spacious.  Helpful staff  put our bikes in storage for the evening.
