Bike reassembly continues. Our bike tires, which we thought fit our fender set up just fine, do not. So, a few tool purchases, duct tape and modifications, we made it work. And then there was the realization that we left our super lightweight sleeping pads and our ultralight down jackets at our house. Jon’s Dad to the rescue. While overnight shipping was ridiculously pricey, buying new would have been worse, even with the big sale at REI this weekend. Deal with it and move on. Stuff happens. 

Once the bikes were back in one piece, we went for a ride up Mt. Tabor. Everything’s working! Few more tweaks and we’ll be ready to roll on Saturday. 

Had a nice evening chilling with our Portland buddies and sippin’ some local brews.
