Last prep day

The day started with a 1.5 mile walk to Pine State Biscuit. A must do in Portland. Jon had his favorite, the McIsley pictured here. Their biscuits are out of this world. Next on the agenda was a visit to REI, on the first day of their weekend sale. There were a good 50 people in line to check out, so Jon got in line while I waited for a fitting room. I caught up to him just as he was next for the registers. Perfect timing. Then we went in a search for dog spray. Futile effort, but we got some good walking in. 20,000 steps today! Ended up having to order from Amazon.
Lunch was at Deschutes brewery. Wonderful brews and an amazing vegetable sauté with risotto cakes. More errands in the afternoon, food for the next few days and some final supplies. Dinner with our friends and kiddos at Hawthorn Fishhouse and great strolling around the SE Portland hood. Finished packing up and prepped to head out tomorrow bright and early! Ready or not, here we go!!
