Day 59 Ticonderoga

Ticonderoga, NY
Had a pretty nice night of camping in Lake Eaton. The temperature cooled down into the 60’s and we left the tent fly off so we could enjoy the cool air. Breakfast of oatmeal, coffee and tea and we were on our way towards Ticonderoga. Nice route of beautiful views with rolling ups and some screaming downs as we left the Adirondacks. We took a break at a gas station across the street from a huge A-frame (now defunct) hotel. Probably a happening place back in the 70s. It’s right down the road from Jellystone of the Adirondacks. 😄
We made our way into Ticonderoga in mid afternoon, sweating in the hot humid weather. We decided to stop here for the night. Right down the street from our hotel was the Hot Biscuit Diner, so we enjoyed their meatloaf special with a big fluffy biscuit for a late lunch/early dinner. We took a rare nap for a couple of hours, then headed back over to the diner for dessert of fresh made pie. Gotta love the guilt free indulgences!
Today's ride: 62 miles (100 km)
Total: 300 miles (483 km)
