Our Gear List
Weight is of course our primary concern. We can take 30kg each on our Emirates flights and the excess baggage charges are punitive. Our bikes weigh almost 20kg when all packed up, so we have about 10kg each plus our carry on. Should be OK, hope we don't have to wear all our clothes on the flight to reduce the weight of our luggage. This restriction is a good thing really as it helps save us from overloaded bikes.
You will notice that we carry no cooking equipment. We plan to either eat at restaurants or buy ready to eat food in boulangeries, markets and delis

We had a trial pack yesterday. It all fitted and the weight was fine. I had forgotten however how heavily laden bikes handle, I will have to get used to it again. I must do a bit more riding before we go I am certainly not fit enough!
