Bill ShaneyfeltNice!
Bush in foreground is creosote. Very interesting bush. Wood is so dense it will not float. Notice the tiny fuzzy white seed balls.

Long thin bush over his shoulder is ocotillo. Notice it is lined with nice green leaves, indicating that not too long ago there was a nice rainfall.

Bill ShaneyfeltHealthy looking creosote bushes. By the way, the dead wood makes the best hot coals for a cooking campfire. Burn down quickly to coals and last a very long time.
