Day 73 Oyos Negros to Heroes De La Indepencia

Day 73..Ojos Negros to Heroes De La Independence....55 km. Wow...what an experience. Last night we arrived in Oyos Negros just as the sun was going down. Checked into the only Hotel then went to eat. There were no stret lights...we found the main drag and found a wonderful little restaurant. We also went this morning to the same restaurant. Left in morning, and what an experience. Going through the mexican desert, no cel reception. It was unbelievable. We got to a small town(Heroes De La Indepencia)and found a Taco place. We had a coffee and Carrot cake. The skies looked ominous and we were 30 km away from the next Motel. The restaurant owner asked us that we could stay across the street. A lovely lady came out and told us we could stay at her place... incredible. The hospitality, the friendliness..so many people honking, waving, thumbs up...it's truly magical. Oh it's sooo dangerous here....I love Mexico.

We thought we would just throw our tents up in the yard. We were told, no, you can sleep in here.
