Au revoir, mi amigo

All good things must come to an end and this is no exception. It's time to bid Leo farewell.

It feels weird, yet somehow right, that the trip ends at a train station because that's where my trip began. But this time it's Leo who is getting on a train; the California Zephyr from Davis to Chicago. It's not his first rodeo. He took the train from Hutchinson to Chicago once but this is the first time he will have a sleeper, which is good because the trip spans 2 nights.

I was a little jealous, actually, as the train came to a stop and Leo hopped on, all smiles in anticipation of his trip. It's been well documented on this fine publication that I love trains. At the same time I'm excited for Leo, because I know he is excited.

Au revoir, mi amigo. Until we meet again...

While we were waiting for the train we spotted this. This is so cool!It's a new repair stand at the Davis train station. You can hang your bike from saddle, there are 2 pumps (schrader and presta) and various useful tools hanging from cords (pedal wrench, allen wrenches, etc).

I think Leo is excited about his train trip!
