Day 4... A big yellow thing
When I went out this morning in Poulsbo the sky was blue and there was a big yellow thing in the sky! Beautiful day for riding. Tough day with lots of hills. Ended the day in Shelton. There is cycling community called Warmshowers where people, many times cyclists themselves, open their yards or sometimes their homes to traveling cyclists. So tonight I stayed in the home of Carolyn. She is a saint! So get this.... she and her husband have a blended family with a total of 10 kids, 42 grandkids, and 86 great grandkids!! She is 74 years old, still rides her bike around town and has hosted cyclists from all over the world. Earlier in the day I did stop at Jr's Hideaway in Belfair for a late lunch. Now everyone in there was absorbed with the Seattle Seahawks game. However I did find a TV in the corner so I could watch Tiger win for the 1st time in 5 years. Short day tomorrow to Elma.
Today's ride: 55 miles (89 km)
Total: 186 miles (299 km)
