Yellowstone and other fun stuff

The hot thermal pools and geysers are very cool.

We rode this old army truck up the mountain above Big Sky for my birthday dinner at this mountain yurt in the middle of nowhere. Great fun!

We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain to play disc golf on a nice sunny morning. When we got done we discovered the ski lift was shut down due to weather.

So we decided to hike down the 2 mile trail back to the lodge at the bottom. Still sunny, right? We ended up jogging/sprinting the last several hundred yards.

The last couple minutes before we reached the lodge we were pelted with hail!! Crazy mountain weather.

Great views of Big Sky from the top of the ski lift.

1As you know I took a few days off the bike last week as Aaron flew out and we explored Montana. This is out of order but have some great pictures so hope you enjoy! Our base was Big Sky Resort which is about an hour from the west entrance to Yellowstone. Big Sky is the 2nd largest ski resort in the US after Park City Utah.
