The last island stop Orcas Island

Friday Harbor is the biggest and most popular village on all the islands

Many shops, restaurants, the only hospital on the islands.

It is a fascinating way the people live on these islands. No real grocery stores, pharmacies etc on the islands so they have to ride the ferry to Anacortes for most services. There is a hospital on San Juan Island but not the others. Today is Orcas Island. They are all hilly but Orcas is extremely hilly. You can put in the miles training in Florida but nothing can prepare you for the big hills. Another 30 miles or so today and camping in all night rain. Stayed dry though! Will ride back to the ferry landing in the morning to head back to Anacortes.
