The Mission Mountain Mercantile was an oasis about halfway on an otherwise very remote ride.

So yesterday as I checked the weather for Seeley Lake the words "potential winter storm" appeared. Yes, it's June 16.  So I started thinking I needed to get to Missoula today instead of Monday. However that is 110 miles which I can't do in one day. I arrived at the Swan Lake campground and there was a guy named Jesse also there. I met Jesse a few nights earlier at Whitefish Lake SP. He is going to Missoula for an old Navy buddy's wedding on Friday.  So Jesse called his friend and he said he would pick us up in his Durango and a trailer this afternoon in Seeley Lake where overnight tonight was a chance of sleet and freezing rain. Now when you sign up to do bike touring you know bad weather is part of the gig. This however was a little much. So Jesse and I rode the 58 miles from Swan Lake to Seeley Lake today. It was a great ride with amazing scenery. We were riding through the valley with snow capped mountains on either side. Jesse is a great guy and really enjoyed riding with him today. So now safely in Missoula a day early ahead of whatever June weather is coming.

Today's ride: 58 miles (93 km)
Total: 1,016 miles (1,635 km)
