This was really in the middle of nowhere a few miles outside Dubois. There were a lot of people there. I would have stopped if I didn't have such a long day ahead of me.

This was the longest ride of the trip at 77 miles and also the warmest as temps were around 80 and tomorrow's ride will be near 90. In these sparsely populated areas, how far you go in a day is really dependent on availability of either small towns or campgrounds. The majority of today's ride was through the Wind River Indian Reservation so very few services along the way until my destination of Lander. Spent the night at St Thomas Episcopal Church in Dubois. There are churches along the way who provide shelter for hikers and cyclists. There were 5 hikers there also in a big meeting room. They provide cots, bathrooms.  Nice alternative to camping and also meet new people. Today's ride was mostly across the high plains so rolling hills at 6000-7000 feet in elevation. Once you get east of Yellowstone and Grand Tetons in Wyoming you don't have the majestic snow capped mountains but still very pretty scenery.

Today's ride: 77 miles (124 km)
Total: 1,344 miles (2,163 km)
