It was supposed to rain all morning for the arduous 16 mile ride back to the ferry but thankfully it held off! Caught the ferry back to Anacortes and then a 25 mile ride to Burlington where I spent the night in the Fairfield Inn. Nice to catch a hot shower and real bed! The ride today was mostly flat through the very pretty Skagit Valley. The next day or day and a half of riding should be just some rolling hills through the valley but after that the Cascades await.
