Day 4 - Lindau to Constance (Germany)

North Side of Lake Constance and our First Ferry

The EV15 bike route actually follows a Southern path around Lake Constance, but after reading some guide books and talking to friends, we decided to take a Northern route around the lake from Lindau to Meersburg Germany and then take a ferry from Meersburg to Constance. We're not really sure what the actual EV15 route looked like along this area of the trail, but the Northern side sure was pretty.

We saw a lot of this blimp on our ride today. It seemed to be following us from Lindau. This clip below is probably 10 miles outside of Meersburg

Some nice digs at our hotel in Constance, but we had to carry our bike up steps for three pretty large floors to get to it. (They didn't have a working elevator yet)

Steve Miller/GrampiesThe blimp is from Friedrichshafen, where there is a museum about its inventor, Zeppelin. We never did get to look at the museum even though we have been through there a few times. Sounds like you missed looking at it also. You can, we believe, take a ride in the Zeppelin you saw, although we have never done that either.

Tony BontaTo Steve Miller/GrampiesNeat! We did read about the museum, but didn't realize you could go ride in the blimps. That would have been amazing

Karen PoretTo Tony BontaOnly problem with this is we are not “ self cycling” riders.. we have to be led around by the nose.. or cowbell 🙄
