Doing the Capitol cha cha

Washington DC dance day

It was another cool grey day but the sun did peep out later. We didn't do much again other than talk about our activities here in DC and do a load of laundry. 

This evening we drove over to a nearby dance studio called Hollywood Ballroom to check out their ballroom dance. WOW - what a HUGE space and nice dance floor! 

But I don't know what was going on with the dance community in this area. We literally were the only ones there except for the DJ/instructor and his partner. So we had the entire floor to ourselves. It was fun but very weird!

But we didn't stay too long and left after about an hour of dancing. We plan to return here tomorrow afternoon for their mid-day "tea dance". 

The Hollywood Ballroom had a massive dance floor and this is what it looked like all evening. Very strange but fun to have it all to ourselves except for the DJ/dance instructor and his partner who you can see in this picture.
