Day 62 Chalten: Hike to Laguna Capri
Today we plan to do another hike, but when we get up early the sky is overcast and some light rain falls from gray skies.
A bit disappointed that there would not be good views, we decide to wait it out for a while. We play the dice game, write the journal and read a bit, then go into the restaurant to play move of the new dice game.
At about noon it seems to be getting a bit lighter, but the clouds stay. We decide to go up anyway, it's our last day here and we hate to waste it like this. The hike starts near our campground and takes us up through beech forests along the rim of the valley, then around a ravine towards the Cerro Fitzroy.

We can see its glaciers but the peaks are fully in the clouds. As we walk on to Laguna Capri a few holes start appearing and bit by bit we get to see the peaks.
On the way back we spend about two hours at one of the best viewpoints, watching as the clouds lift and Cerro Fitzroy becomes better and better.
Awesome luck for us!
