Day 6 San Fernando: News from Boise
Hotel Imperio
The first couple of kms to Graneros on the unsealed bumpy road makes just about every muscle hurt. In Graneros we head back for the Pan America, the only road going south that is paved. Today goes a lot better though, the shoulder stays with us, traffic gets less, and we even see some sun. In the east we catch glimpses of snow-covered Andes peak.

The land turns more agricultural, people are friendly and wave. Our second day on the road ends in a struggle, our muscles hurt, we are tired.
In San Fernando we find a Hotel Imperio, for 15 pesos, hot water and a very clean room with TV. We watch ESPN and see a report on the women’s challenge in Boise, ID.
Today's ride: 61 km (38 miles)
Total: 143 km (89 miles)
