Day 90: Flying Home
Chasing Daylight
Bjorn drives us to the airport, we leave at 0630 for an hours drive to the airport. This gives us a 3 hour window for check-in for the flight. We get 2 of the free carts for our gear. We mention this because it irritates us that in the USA the carts are not free.
Check in goes smoothly, the wait not too tedious and the 8 hour flight Stockholm to New York is on time.

In NY, we pay $6 for each cart for our gear. Going through Immigration and Customs is easier here than in Seattle where you first pick up your gear and then go through Immigration struggling with all your gear. Here in NY we just go around the corner and recheck the luggage to our final destination. Then the 3 hour wait for the next flight.
Our 6 hour flight to Seattle also goes smoothly, though for such a long flight we were a bit disappointed that we got one choice of drinks and choice of chips, almonds or granola bars.
In Seattle, we are almost home. We arrive in Boise at midnight.
"Who is that guy taking my bike?" Patrick thought when he went to oversized baggage to retrieve the bikes. And it was Bob!
We are greeted by a nice welcome home sign by Kim and the kitties. We will see our houseguests in the morning.
