Day 1: Flight to Stockholm
Let's Get There
“It’s another tradition,” we say to our friend Bob as we drive to the Boise airport just as for three previous tours. We have been packed for over a week, because of Patrick’s organized checklist along with last Wednesday, Patrick had both bikes in boxes. The panniers and gear are packed in two large duffel bags, keeping two back panniers for carry-on.
This last week was filled with visits with friends.
We are early to the airport for our 1040 flight and the check in goes smoothly, no problem with the weight of each bag, the bikes though cost $100 each as expected. We were lucky one time when we were not charged.
The flight to Seattle gives us views of the volcanoes, a couple hours layover and we are on the 9 hour flight to Amsterdam. The day turns to July 3rd.
