Week 85: To Dong Van: rainy day on a beautiful road

This day would have been so different had there been blue skies and white puffy clouds. Instead we rode the twenty two kilometers from Meo Vac to Dong Van over Mai Pi Ling Pass in the rain, drizzle and fog. We stayed an extra day in Meo Vac hoping the weather would improve, but this morning brought more low clouds and rain. Still the moody weather made the karst mountains beautiful. We'll let the photos speak for themselves.

News from home on the Presidential election though is depressing. Fear, ignorance, hate and bigotry won today. Not much more to say.
