Rest day Udaipur: City Palace
"The in-lay crystal glass is impressive, but not as much as seeing the glasses Ken Kinsley wore in the film Ghandi" Rachel jokes. We are touring through the city palace museum with beautiful architecture and gardens. Another film advertised by guesthouses with nightly showing is "Octopussy" also filmed in Udaipur.
The morning sightseeing was the extent of our energy spent today. We had lunch in the hotel, Rachel having an enchilada and salsa that was wonderful. Then just rested in the room. The electricity is off due to load shedding, something we've not had since Africa, but comes back on mid afternoon.
Tomorrow we move on taking four days to Pushkar, then three days to Jaipur.
